Far South Comma iTA Comma iTA is a flexible and comprehensive telephony interface solution for Asterisk based PBX, Contact Center and Gateway installations. Asterisk telephony applications, built on commodity computer servers, couple with Comma iTA’s via a standard Ethernet interface and an efficient TDM over Packet transfer protocol. The Asterisk server thus becomes a pure network appliance. The Comma iTA provides dedicated voice processing hardware thus off-loading critical, channel related processing from the host server, while providing integration to legacy telecom infrastructure. The Comma iTA thus supports the deployment of large, feature-rich solutions over a distributed and scalable architecture. It is possible to combine multiple iTAs and/or multiple servers in a single system
